Field Descriptions

Parameter

Description

Default Value

Cabinet

System-generated, protected field. Indicates (along with the Shelf, Slot and Circuit number) the physical location ID (PLID) of the paging circuits.

Shelf

System-generated, protected field. Indicates (along with the Cabinet, Slot, and Circuit number) the physical location ID (PLID) of the paging circuits.

Slot

System-generated, protected field. Indicates, (along with the Cabinet, Shelf, and Circuit number) the physical location ID (PLID) of the paging circuits.

Circuit

System-generated, protected field. Indicates (along with the Cabinet, Shelf, and Slot number) the physical location ID (PLID) of the paging circuits.

Card Type

System-generated, protected fields indicates the card type associated with the PLID. ASU E&M trunks are used for loudspeaker paging.

Zone Number

Enter the zone number to which the paging circuit is assigned. The system supports 15 individual paging zones plus the "ALL" paging zone. The zone number must be unique. A zone cannot be assigned to more than one paging circuit. On a multiple-zone system, all-zone paging must be designated as "00", regardless of whether all-zone paging is enabled. This means that you must assign a zone number of "0" to the "ALL" paging zone.

NOTE: The form accepts two-digit numbers for zones 0 through 9 but displays them as single digits when saved—for example, 00 displays as 0 and 02 as 2. Users dialing the zone number must dial the two-digit number. If they dial only one digit, the system will wait for the inter-digit timer in the user's Class of Service to expire before calling the zone.
